Why Everyone's Talking About the Glowence Retainer Cleaner
A 47kHz ultrasonic tank and three timed cycles in one cordless unit — the reason retainer and aligner wearers are finally cleaning them properly every day, not just rinsing.
Where Your Toothbrush Can't Reach
A toothbrush only cleans where its bristles land, and a retainer is mostly grooves, wires and fitted edges. Inside the Glowence Ultrasonic Retainer Cleaner, 47kHz ultrasonic action fills the water with tiny collapsing bubbles that work across every surface, so the cloudy film in those edges has nowhere left to sit.
Three Minutes, Zero Scrubbing Required
Drop your retainer in, press once and walk away. The 3-minute cycle finishes while you brush your teeth, the 5-minute cycle handles visible buildup, and the 10-minute cycle is there for the night guard left in its case all weekend. Glowence switches itself off when it is done.
Steel Tank, Built For Daily Use
The 230 ml tank is lined with 304 stainless steel, the same grade used for kitchen sinks and cutlery, so it rinses clean and does not hold on to smells. There is room in Glowence for a denture, a pair of clear aligners or a sports mouthguard without folding anything.
Cordless, Compact And Travel-Ready Size
A built-in 2000 mAh battery charges over USB-C, so Glowence cleans without a cable trailing to the nearest socket. At about 12 centimetres square and just over 400 grams, it sits on a narrow bathroom shelf at home and packs into a wash bag for a week away.
How to Use Glowence
There is nothing to set up. Charge it once over USB-C, then fill the tank with a cup rather than straight from the tap, because water around the base can damage the electronics. Use lukewarm water under 30°C, close the lid and pick a cycle. Empty and dry the tank after every clean.
-
Add Clean Water

-
Rinse And Repeat
Rinse your appliance, empty the tank and run it again tomorrow morning

Frequently asked questions
What does an ultrasonic retainer cleaner do?
It sends 47kHz ultrasonic waves through water, creating tiny bubbles that clean the grooves, wires and edges a brush cannot reach.
Do I need an app or a subscription?
No. There is no app, no account and no subscription, and no cleaning tablets to keep reordering either.
Which cleaning cycle should I use?
Three minutes for daily cleaning, five when buildup is visible, and ten for anything left in its case for days.
How does it charge?
Over USB-C with the cable in the box, from any standard 5V phone plug. Avoid high-current fast chargers.
How much does the tank hold?
230 ml in a 304 stainless steel tank, enough for a pair of aligners, a mouthguard or a denture.
Is it suitable for clear aligners?
Yes, used as directed with lukewarm water under 30°C. Check your aligner provider's care guidance for any extra restrictions.
What else can I clean in it?
Metal jewellery, glasses, razor heads and toothbrush heads. Avoid pearls, opals, soft gemstones and watches.
Is there anyone who should not use it?
People with a pacemaker should not use it, and it is not for children to operate. Never look directly into the lid light.
