Why Everyone's Talking About the Oskren Wearable Blanket
Eight heating pads sewn into a soft plush wrap, powered from a USB port — the reason people working from cold spare rooms are finally warm at their desks this winter.
Eight Pads Where It Counts
A heated throw on your lap leaves your shoulders cold. The Oskren spreads eight heating pads across the shoulders, upper back, sides and front, so the warmth sits where a draughty room gets to you first. Press the chest button once and the pads start warming together.
Warm Yourself, Not The Room
Running the central heating all afternoon to warm one person at one desk makes little sense. Oskren draws 9 to 10 watts from a USB port and puts that warmth against you instead of into the room. Leave the radiators off in the spare room and zip up instead.
Soft Plush With A Zip
The Oskren is made from a soft, dense plush in a muted grey that sits as easily on a sofa as at a desk. A front zip closes it down the middle, so it stays put when you reach for a mug. Unplug it and hand wash it with a mild detergent.
Goes Wherever The USB Does
There is no wall plug and no battery to charge inside the Oskren. It runs from whatever USB port is nearby: a laptop at the desk, a power bank on the sofa, the car port on a long drive. Use a 5V, 2A source for full warmth; the power bank is sold separately.
How to Use Your Oskren
There is nothing to install and no app to set up. Plug the built-in USB lead into a power bank, laptop or adapter rated 5V 2A, drape it over your shoulders and close the zip. When you are finished, unplug it and let it cool before folding it away for tomorrow.

Frequently asked questions
What is a heated wearable blanket?
A soft wrap with built-in heating pads that you wear over your shoulders, so the warmth moves with you around the house.
Do I need an app or a subscription?
No. There is no app, no account and no subscription. Plug it in, press the button and it starts warming.
Where are the heating pads?
Eight pads sit across the shoulders, the back and the front, so warmth reaches your upper body rather than just your lap.
Does it have a battery?
No internal battery. It runs from a USB port rated 5V 2A or above, and the power bank is not included.
How much power does it use?
Between 9 and 10 watts from a standard 5V USB supply. Below a 2A output it still runs, but feels noticeably cooler.
What size is it?
One size, 150 × 80 cm, which drapes from the shoulders to the lap on most adults and closes with a front zip.
Where can I use it?
Anywhere with a USB port: the sofa, a home office, a chilly workplace, or plugged into a car's charging port as a passenger.
Is there anyone who should take extra care?
Children, older people and anyone less sensitive to heat should be supervised. Unplug it after use and never plug it in while wet.
