How does two-way talk work on the Tolven Doorbell?
When someone presses the button, your phone receives a notification. Tap it to open the live view, then hold down the microphone key to speak and release it to listen. It works the same whether you are in the next room or in another country, as long as your phone has a connection.
How is the Tolven Doorbell powered and how do I charge it?
The doorbell runs on a built-in 1000mAh rechargeable battery and charges over USB, so there is no wiring, no transformer and no electrician involved. The app sends you a reminder when the battery is running low. The indoor chime is mains powered and needs to stay plugged into a USB power adaptor to ring.
How long does the battery last between charges?
The supplier quotes up to three months of standby. In practice this depends on how often the bell is pressed and how long you spend on each call, so a busy front door will need charging more often than a quiet one.
